It is a high-performance module for short-range data communications and interconnect applications, running up to 70 m at speeds of 25.78125 Gb/s using OM3 fiber and up to 100 m using OM4 fiber. The module is designed to operate on multimode fiber systems using 850nm wavelengths. The electrical interface uses a 20 touchpoint edge-type connector. The SFP28 active fiber optic cable is a direct-connect fiber optic assembly with SFP28 connectors for very short distances and provides a cost-effective way to connect within and across adjacent racks.
